Dawn Chorus, Vol. 2
by Fern Hollow Audio · Sold direct, no store between you
Audio download · Sample price, set on page 3 · Or more, if the mornings were good to you
Inside: four uncut dawn recordings, April to June; the field map; a searchable species index; volume 3 at the buyer's price when it lands. In your library the moment you pay.
Demo in a reader: no money moves here. In the real thing, this button is the whole shop.
Gumroad is how one maker sells a digital thing to the people who already follow them: a page, a price, a payment, the file delivered. This reader holds a sample product, invented for the exhibit. Leaf through it the way its maker would, setting it up as you go. Or do not leaf at all: everything a buyer asks is answered on this cover.
Kind of work
Page 2 · Inside the work
What the buyer actually gets.
Not a promise: a list, with sizes. Take anything out and the download on page 4 gets smaller and the price on page 3 gets harder to defend.
Updates go to everyone who already bought it, free, from the same page. That one habit is why buyers come back for volume three.
Page 3 · The price
One number, set in the open.
A sample price for a sample product. Nothing on this page is anyone's real pricing; it is the shape of the decision every seller makes exactly once.
On. The price is a floor, not a ceiling. Readers who found the work worth more can say so with money.
No tiers, no bundles, no "pro edition" of a dawn chorus. The plainness is the pitch.

Dawn Chorus, Vol. 2
by Fern Hollow Audio, sold direct. No store between you.
In the real thing the download would be in your library and your inbox by now, and your email would join the maker's own list, not a marketplace's.
A buyer needs four things: what it is, what is inside, what it costs, one big honest button. Everything else is furniture.
Page 5 · The tally
Counted in the back, in pencil.
Sample copies for a sample week, drawn in block characters because everything here is set in one monospace. Sales you make on page 4 join today's bar.
The list is the asset. A marketplace keeps the buyers; a direct page hands them to the maker, once, with every copy.
