Coldline temperature logs for kitchens

$49a month, eight units

Start

Temperature logs, drawn as a map

The fridge that fails is the one nobody checked.

A sensor goes inside every door and writes the temperature every ninety seconds. When one leaves its range, Coldline tells the cook's phone at 2:14, not at close, and keeps the page the inspector asks for.

Marlow's, 1140 North High Street, Columbus. The walk-in door, Tuesday at 2:14.

The same day, on four lines.

Four cold units, four stations a day: open, before service, the afternoon, close. The stations are evenly spaced, the way a transit map spaces its stops, because the order matters more than the clock.

2:19 PM. What do you do?

The alert is on the phone and the chiller is at 44.2. Pick one. The line below, the log the inspector gets and the money all move together, because they are the same event written three ways.

$49a month, one kitchen

Up to eight units, sensors and install included. No contract, and nothing to install beyond sticking a sensor inside each door.

  • Sensors for eight units, posted
  • The map, the alerts, the log
  • Alerts to every phone in the kitchen
  • The inspection page, as a PDF
  • Unlimited units after eight, $6 each
  • Cancel any month, keep the log

How to start

  1. Order the sensors. They arrive in two days, already paired to your kitchen.
  2. Stick one inside each door, four inches up, on the hinge side. Peel and press.
  3. Scan the code on the box. The first line appears on the map in ninety seconds.

Works with any walk-in, reach-in, lowboy, prep table or freezer with a flat face inside the door, and with the phones the kitchen already carries. It prints to the kitchen's printer, or exports the same page the inspector signs.
